Why work does not happen at work ?

This is why I founded Colibrix : I am sharing Jason Fried theory of working.

The office isn't a good place to do it. At TEDxMidwest, he lays out the main problems (call them the M&Ms) and offers three suggestions to make work work.

To consider a problem deeply, you need several hours. You do need long stretches.

People do that kind of work at home, in the office late at night or early in the morning. Or they get the work done on train, cars... where there is no interruptions like 'can we talk just a minute?'

Jason suggestions :

  1. Replace the casual Friday by a no-talk Thursday, once a month, in the afternoon. Silence.
  2. Replace meeting with e-mail
  3. Cancel your next Monday morning meeting

Listen to this 15-minute talk, this is a great one!
